Indian Women Empowerment Forum 2016
Indian Women Empowerment forum is aimed at providing support, guidance and solutions for Indian women who are facing problems when they are in US. Many women have to come US on temporary work Visa H1 or on dependent visa H4 and are facing many challenges, such as family issues arise, many a times due to the sudden departure or death of the spouse. In these situations women become helpless and are confused about what to do, and whom to reach. There is an urgent need in helping and guiding these women, so that they can handle the issues in a better way.
During the years, we have seen many individual cases coming our way for help. Due to the gravity of the various issues, we realized that there is a need of a forum for dialogue and discussion on issues faced by Indian Women. Not just a need, it has become a social responsibility of well settled Indians in the valley to guide, mentor and help to ensure the Indian Women’s welfare and that determination has resulted in creating Indian Women Empowerment forum.
Through Indian Women Empowerment forum, we want to provide support and help to empower women by building self-esteem and confidence.
Indian Women Empowerment forum will be striving to provide the following services to the women in distress:
1. Establish a support network for women that offers resources for families in crisis.
2. Through our volunteer efforts, we will aim to help others and thereby empower them at the same time.
3. Our social events are aimed to establish genuine friendships and connections amongst ourselves and network within the group.
