Dr. Padma Aking

Padma was born and brought up in Hyderabad, India. She received a Master’s In English from Osmania university and a second M.A. in Mass communications from Auburn University. Her experiences working in a voluntary project with brain and spinal cord injured victims, neurologists and psychiatrists then led her to medical school to become a psychiatrist. She has been practicing psychiatry in Phoenix for about eight years now. Her last name ‘Aking’ is of a Chinese origin, her husband Dr Rodd Aking is an Indian from Trinidad and his grandparents were from China.
